Franconia Golf Course is a scenic municipal course offering 18 holes of challenging drives and putts. It lies on 6,318 yards on the southern outskirts of town, right above Turner Park. It was designed in 1929 by renowned golf architects Marvin F. Armstrong and Richard P. Nugent, who filled it with challenging water hazards, nifty bunkers, and other obstacles.
